Today, pa2010.com ran a story, which focused on Joe Sestak and his poor payment of staffers. According to the article, there is Sestak's relatives pay grade and well.... everyone else.
In fact, the gross pay differential was revealed after several months of speculation as to why Sestak would not hire a professional campaign manager, and why he has instead decided to stick with his relatives. At the same time, several staffers have left the campaign and including a former key player in Sen. Mark Warners campaign.
Organized labor appears to be picking up on Sestak's unwillingness to pay staffers liveable wages as Sestak planned another debate and beer bash with Club for Growth conservative Pat Toomey. In fact, Unions have fought against these types of employers for generations:

"This is a disgrace, especially for someone who calls himself a progressive Democrat," John Garrity, president of the International Federation of Professional Engineers Local 3 in Philadelphia, said in a campaign statement. "Congressman Sestak talks a good story on minimum wage and livable wage and wants other companies to pay it but he won’t do it himself. With Joe Sestak you need to watch what he does, not what he says."
The Specter campaign rightfully pointed out that the poor pay given to Sestak staffers would in fact qualify many of their staffers for food stamps. Im not sure this "campaign welfare" will go over well with working families as Democratic voters detest corporate welfare.
