Via Oliver Willis and BradBlog:

Brooklyn prosecutors on Monday cleared ACORN of criminal wrongdoing after a four-month probe that began when undercover conservative activists filmed workers giving what appeared to be illegal advice on how to hide money.

While the video by James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles seemed to show three ACORN workers advising a prostitute how to hide ill-gotten gains, the unedited version was not as clear, according to a law enforcement source.

"They edited the tape to meet their agenda," said the source.

You don't say.

No, of course this is no surprise. We know that O'Keefe never actually dressed as a pimp when he was in the ACORN offices; he threw that costume on later for "B-roll" footage but edited the tapes to make the ACORN employees look so stupid that they couldn't tell that ridiculous disguise was a ridiculous disguise.

We also know that James O'Keefe posed as Hannah Giles's boyfriend, not her pimp, and they were asking ACORN's help in getting her set up in a life away from a supposedly abusive pimp. We also know that the idea of listing prostitution as "the performing arts" was O'Keefe's idea, not any ACORN worker's.

Why, it's almost like they went out with a dishonest agenda and constructed what looked like an undercover news report around it in order to discredit an organization that was helping people kick the ass of the worn-out cranks who run the failed governmental philosophy they subscribe to.

Nah; couldn't be. Even the liberal New York Times says "If there is a correction to be made, it seems it would start with Mr. O'Keefe himself. We believe him. Therefore there is nothing for us to correct."

So when does ACORN get their funding back?

When do they get apologies from Congress? From O'Keefe? From Breitbart? From Fox News?

When does James O'Keefe get thrown in jail for making false reports?

When is the New York Times even going to admit that they got had? Or at least reassign the editor they assigned to watch right-wing blogs and media for dumbass conspiracy theories to push?

When are those pigs going to start flying?

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
