Can anyone help me with this question?

I don't know but I guess the only bachelors and bachelorettes in this country are white. right?
I have no idea how many bachelors or bachelorette shows there have been on ABC but I know they are always white and beautiful.
Well, what about all about all of the brown, yellow, black, dark brown, reddish brown (you get my drift) folk out there who are bachelors and bachelorettes too?!
Why is it that we must always see the same white bread show every year?
Maybe it is just me or maybe brown people have better things to do.
But this harkens back, at least for me, of when I was growing up and could not find a doll that looked like me. I thought we had come further but I guess not. Maybe having a brown couple would be to hard on the eyes for some in this country. Maybe it would offend some. Maybe they just don't think we have relationships. I don't know but this shit just drives me up a fracking wall so I wrote a poem about this and here it is below:
Looking for Me
I remember reading
Mills and Boons
You know?
Like Danielle Steele?
I remember the woman on the cover
Hair streaming over the arms of
A muscular
White man
She
White too
I remember how I started to look for me
To look for the little girl
With the braids dotting
Dotting she head
Like the pieces on a
Checkerboard
Sometimes I read 4 or 5 books
All in one day
Just looking
Looking for me
The little girl with the braids
Dotting she head
Like the pieces on a
Checkerboard
One day it was a redhead with
Green eyes
The next?
A blonde with blue
But never a little girl
Caramel brown
Real chubby and cute
Almond shaped eyes
Soft and brown
Like plump just washed
Raisins
Lips purple-red like
Fresh juicy plums
I remember
Never finding that little girl
The little girl
With the braids dotting
Dotting she head
Like the pieces on a
Checkerboard

I guess more things change they remain the same. sigh.
