TEXT: Why we can't trust Steve Poizner – Reason 21. Steve Poizner gave $10,000 to help Al Gore try to win the 2000 presidential election. And you thought Poizner was a Republican.
Well little did Meg know (shocking) but she gave $8,000 to Barbara Boxer and the DSCC in 2003. And in fact...
Whitman also endorsed Boxer in 2003 as a member of the group Technology Leaders for Boxer. In a joint letter publicized by the Boxer campaign, Whitman wrote, "Barbara Boxer is a courageous leader and friend of California's technology industry." She has said she liked Boxer's opposition to Internet taxes.
Of course, Jerry Brown is the man for California, so I am not particularly enamored with Poizner. But I guess in California we will see if a ton of cash can wash away the stain of hypocrisy (seems to be the word of the week). I certainly don't care who has more Republican or Conservative credibility with the TEabagger Nation. But I simply find it humorous that with all that money, Meg can't seem to get out of her own way.
