I'll keep this short and to the point: Many of us on the left are unhappy that the public option is off the table, yet probably just as many on the right are unhappy because they're believing the "this is a government takeover of 1/6th of our economy" smear coming from Boehner, Cantor, et al.
What can most of us agree on? Health Insurance executives should not be making a pile of loot on a product that no longer qualifies as "Insurance" since it excludes or eliminates expensive potential clients.
This bill fixes that by controlling costs (and company practices and profits) sufficiently to cover over 30 million Americans...and the US Treasury will still come out ahead.
We'll save Health Care Reform for another day. This is just a nice retread of the Health Insurance system.
