We need nationalized healthcare for two reasons.
- Control costs, healthcare out of control costs are killing our national competitiveness.
- Peace of mind of all citizens. Nearly half of this country has no healthcare, or is in fear of losing it. A fearful people are not a brave people.
Medical costs can come down to the floor. In India you can get quadruple bypass heart surgery for two thousand dollars, and the success rates are higher than the Cleveland Heart Clinic (the best the U.S. has to offer). They set it up like a factory, looked at all processes, eliminated errors, increased efficiency, increased success. High volume, low error.
Extremely talented people are holding lousy jobs just for healthcare. It is a waste of their talent.
Young entrepreneurs with families cannot afford to risk starting their business as the costs of healthcare, which they need for their family, cripple their starting businesses.
This country is being bled to death by all the parasites in healthcare. We need to reward the doctors, nurses, scientists, and businesses developing better treatments, not the middlemen and paper pushers.
This is basic commonsense. Basic business. Real Americans are for nationalized healthcare. When you have nationalized healthcare, the metric is the success of the treatment over the long term. The goal is to reduce costs, you do that, primarily by improving success.
