The Canton Repository has released breaking news that Rep. John Boccieri may be close to announcing his health care vote. A spokeswoman from his office announced that he will hold a press conference on Friday in Ohio.
The spokeswoman, Jessica Kershaw, did not specify what the press conference would be about. She also did not say exactly when or if he would announce how he’ll vote on the health care bill.
...
In the same e-mail, she said Boccieri "is encouraged by" the Congressional Budget Office report released today that said that the health care legislation would reduce the federal deficit by $138 billion over 10 years.
She said he still is waiting for the exact language of the reconciliation bill.
Boccieri voted against the House bill in November. However, he has stayed open to the possibility of voting 'yes' on this bill. He is also one of the three congressman that Clyburn identified as potentially changing their votes.
The fact that he "is strongly encouraged" by the CBO estimate would seem to indicate that he leaning toward supporting the bill. Honestly, given that the bill actually yields cost-savings, I don't understand how any of these Blue Dogs can vote against it for financial reasons.
UPDATE: The news link above has a poll about how readers' feel Boccieri should vote. Let's make sure he gets the right message...vote here:
