This is really not going to be a long diary. However, I think that it is important to point out that many Dems who take the base for granted are going to be bounced this fall. Take the case of Michael Arcuri who voted YES for the House Bill in November and is now a "firm no."
Well, well, well... Lookee here:

It’s gettin’ hotter for Mr. Arcuri.
This morning, an SEIU local that’s a significant player in New York State yanked its support for Rep Michael Arcuri, in the wake of news that he’s all but certain to vote No.
Now the most powerful union in New York — 1199, the health care workers union, with 275,000 members — is following suit, explicitly announcing it’s in the hunt for a third-party challenger.
I really am all for this. Mr. Arcuri is not representing his constituents well. He won on the back of labor and now labor is going to put him on his back.
I am hopeful that many more Dem constituent groups will pull support for "representatives" who refuse to actually represent. Good riddance!

Note: I didn't notice that Dave Waldman has already blogged about this on the front page as well... It's worth reading what he has to say.
Note #2: Steven Lynch is the next one to be primaried.
Update: It looks like a primary challenger has emerged. That was quick!
