Such was a comment from one of my friends this morning. From another: "please explain how forcing me to buy health insurance or face a fine...helps me in the least."
One of these friends voted for President Obama. The other didn't, but both still have a lot of fear and anger this morning. It feels to me like there is a lot of disinformation out there about the bill that is in the process of being passed. For that, we have to blame the Republicans and their campaign of disinformation from stopping the Democrats from having a signature piece of legislation.
So while this battle is won, we need to keep fighting the battle to remove this fear and disinformation. We all know how strong of a campaign Team Obama won to get in the White House; now we need to see just as strong of a campaign to tell the American people what the democrats have done for them.
But in the meantime, is there anyone here that can help put to rest my friends' fears and concerns? If indeed this is a good bill, we need to be a part of "selling" it on its merits.
