Wonkette, Politico and others are reporting on a Teabagger FAIL:
A tea party organizer angry over Rep. Thomas Perriello’s (D-Va.) vote in favor of health care reform published what he thought was the freshman member’s home address on a blog, in case any readers “want to drop by” and provide a “personal touch” to their views.
Rather than giving out Perriello’s address however, the tea party activist mistakenly printed the home address of the congressman’s brother. Perriello’s brother and wife have four children under the age of 8.
According to Firedog Lake:
So far no one has bothered to visit Perrielo’s brother, most likely because no one can be bothered, and there’s that whole golden rule thing. But Troxil’s remarks, and continuing to keep up the wrong address smacks of intimidation, purely and simply, and involving family members is a cheap, sleazy shot.
Wonkette further elaborates on teh stupid.
The author was tracked down and is this idiot named Mike Troxel, head of the Lynchburg Tea Party, which may or may not even be in Perriello’s district. But who cares? Teabaggers won’t be redlined into obscurity by these damn Democrats.
Troxel, however, still thinks that the address is Perriello’s house, because of Journalism: [snip]
Troxel, a 2005 graduate of Liberty University, added “I was a journalism major in college, so I have every reason to believe my research is accurate.”
In case you are not in the loop, Liberty is the University founded by the late Jerry Falwell. (You do not know how much I wanted to put the word "University" in quotes there, but the school is, for now at least, accredited, even if it graduates geniuses like this.)
Troxel further believes that blogging ethics involve not taking down the incorrect address unless/until Congressman Periello's office sends in a correction personally.
Speaking of FAILs, right now it is not possible to visit Troxel's blog because the bandwidth has been exceeded...
Congressman Periello is the one of the subjects of the DKos moneybomb for vulnerable members who voted for the Health Care Bill. You might want to head over to this diaryand show him some love.
