Most of you have seen Ronald Brownstein on Hardball, he's from the national journal a political analyst, expert on "scare the democrats propaganda".
We all know that Chris Matthew is a racialist, meaning he can't help but view the world in racial or ethnic terms, sometimes he forgets that "Barack Obama is a black man".I have always wondered why Brownstein was his favorite analyst...wonder no more.

polling just before the bill's approval showed that most white Americans believed that the legislation would primarily benefit the uninsured and the poor, not people like them. In a mid-March Gallup survey, 57 percent of white respondents said that the bill would make things better for the uninsured
Brownstein forgets to mention that 55% of whites voted for Palin (let's be honest...they voted against Obama)
only 43% voted for Obama ...Brownstein could have mention that that 76% of republicans and 45% of independents (who are mostly voters too ashamed to call themselves republicans) think that the bill was bad thing according to gallup poll taken after the bill was signed in to law.
from 2008 exitpoll we have these facts concerning how the whites voted:
57% of the white men and 53% of the white women voted for McCain/Palin
55% of all whites voted for McCain/Palin
58% of whites with no collage degree voted for McCain/Palin
these are facts that can be used to explain why a majority of whites are sceptical of the policies of Barack Obama, because a clear majority of them would rather have Palin as VP then Obama as president.
Brownstein thinks it's ironic that whites with no college degree are suspicion of Obama's plans, if he looked at the 2008 exitpoll he would have come to the conclusion that these people are not reacting to the policies but the politician.
In the Kaiser poll, even fewer non college than college-educated whites said that the plan would benefit the country. In one sense, that's ironic: Census figures show that non college whites are more than twice as likely to lack health insurance as whites with a degree
.....well 58% of them voted for McCain/Palin.. so why would it be a surprise that they would be against Obama's policies specially if McCain and Palin and Foxnews is scaring them to death about death panels, socialism and killing of grandma.
he mentions how 34 democrats voted against the health care reform without mentioning that most of them came from district carried by McCain/Palin
instead he uses race+ education as a reason why there constituents are against the health care reform.
Of the 34 Democrats who opposed the final health care bill, 28 represent districts with an above-average share of whites without college educations.
The people who voted against Obama are against the HIR... better known as ObamaCare ...instead of saying this, Brownstein uses race to explain the opposition to the bill, because only then would he be able to extrapolate from McCain voters to all white voters...Democrats ...white voters are running from you....instead of saying Democrats McCain voters are angry that you are enacting what you have promised your voters.
67% of Hispanics and 95% of African Americans voted for Obama...would you be surprised if I told you that higher percentage African American and Hispanics supported his polices, but Brownstein is busy constructing a racial castle to notice this simple fact..
the latest monthly survey by the nonpartisan Kaiser Family Foundation, nonwhite respondents were much more likely than whites to say that the bill would help the country and their own families. Those responses reflect not only experience (African-Americans and Hispanics are more likely than whites to lack insurance) but also minorities' greater receptivity to government activism
The people who voted against Obama ...are against Obama's domestic agenda, some of his supporters are unhappy with the pace of change.
The reason why Brownstein and others use race instead of political affiliation to explain opposition to the Obama agenda is because of this:
But whites still cast about three-quarters of votes. And if most remain convinced that health reform primarily benefits the poor and uninsured, Democrats could find themselves caught in an unusual populist crossfire during this fall's elections.
75% of the voters are white.....you better be scared if 57% of them think this way..... well 75% of the voters in 2008 election were white and 55% of them voted for McCain/Palin,..yet we have a democrat in the white house and he won comfortably... so suck on that, scaremonger.
