Evidently there is a video of Sean Hannity off handedly calling his audience "Tim McVeigh wannabes" that is making it's way through the web and is being discussed on the radio today.......just heard it a few minutes ago on Ed Schultz....and he seems to be totally convinced that it's legit.
I am very dubious of this story given that today is the first of April, eh? (The video was reportedly put up a couple pf days ago....but it's just breaking today) It's difficult to believe that Hannity would say something that stupid....and it would only be coming out now. Also, the point at which he makes the McVeigh comment is one in which the camera is on the crowd so you can't see his lips moving.
On the other hand, if this isn't some kind of hoax.....it would be a momentous Freudian slip on Hannity's part, eh?
Either way, the sad fact is that many millions of normally decent Americans have bought into the lies about Obama and see him as some kind of Hitler who is gong to kill grandma via death panels and will oversee a "government takeover" of their health care and who will "confiscate" their guns and who also, by the way isn't really an American...but a Muslim plant who has a hidden agenda to destroy our nation.
You can find the video here.
Hell, all it takes is for just ONE of the millions of Hannity/Palin/Beck true believers to be crazy enough to act on such delusions for there to BE another Tim McVeigh. That's why this story, whether it is a hoax (designed to defuse the issue) or the truth (a Hannity Freudian slip) resonates so strongly.
