This week I kicked off a five-day, middle class jobs tour across New Hampshire. I have been traveling to cities and towns all over the Granite State talking about jobs; about how we’re going to rebuild our middle class in order to rebuild this country’s economy.
At our first event on Monday I unveiled a comprehensive jobs plan focused on putting our middle class back to work and building an economy equipped for the 21st century.
At the heart of my plan is a lesson embedded deeply on every Main Street in New Hampshire – that jobs are created by the drive, the ingenuity and the independent thinking of our workforce and our small businesses right at home.
But I want to hear from you.
The only way to get our middle-class back to work is to ensure that our small businesses have the tools they need to create, keep and grow jobs. Here in New Hampshire small business is big business. Our local economies not only sustain our middle-class families, but power the economic well-being of our entire state.
My jobs plan will:
Give tax credits to any small business that creates a job.
End tax breaks for companies that ship jobs overseas.
End subsidies for big oil.
Invest in clean energy jobs, high-speed rail and expanding access to broadband.
I want to know what you all think of my plan. Click here to read it, then leave some feedback in the comments.
We need to put our heads together to figure out how we can bring back the middle class and build an economy of rock-solid granite. I don’t care where it comes from, if it’s a good idea it needs to be on the table.
I look forward to hearing what you folks think.
