Hey, Rupert, who's minding the store?
An interesting article in the National Examiner, by Jean Williams, regarding a certain - shall we say - inconsistency between Murdoch's public statement regarding global warming and the antics of most Fox News commentators.
Rupert Murdoch has been claiming that his corporation is sensitive to climate change and that global warming will be catastrophic if allowed to continue. It sounds like he is incredibly disconnected from his own News organization. All the Fox News commentators scoff at global warming, calling it the biggest hoax ever perpetrated on the American people.

Ah, maybe not...
How to account for this seeming cognitive dissonance? Perhaps the statement issuing from News Corporation is for the consumption of shareholders, and the money-men must needs know the truth, whereas the poor and uneducated targets of Fox News must, at all costs, be duped until the real trouble starts; at which point the rich will be in places and positions of untouchability.
