I'm sure that many hre are aware that in a few minutes on most PBS stations, POV will be showing "Food Inc". I would assume that a far greater percentage of this community than most groups has already seen this documentary that examines the U.S. food industry and how its practices impact consumer health, worker safety and the environment.
I'm just meaning to post a reminder and don't want to go into a sales pitch but the NPR review that compared Food Inc. with The Matrix was very accurate and many people would prefer not to watch. After my efforts to get friends and neighbors to watch it seems that most people just don't want to know.
Of course not wanting to know is a huge problem that Americans suffer from and this nation suffers because of that. It makes progress hard and in this case hinders "Voting with your Fork" but those are people outside of progressive bloggers and you could probably use a reminder.
If you want this could be a Food Inc. open thread.
