This story is just freaking hilarious:
It's funny that Megyn Kelly announces this as "Breaking News!". This just in - hot off the wire..."Guy at Insurance Company Gets Fired!" Oh wait..this is about the Tea Party - YES!!! This is what we call a "Foxy Story" here at Ailes news corp. It's one of those stories where the guy is a little nutty, made some bad comments and because he does voice over work for a living - GEICO folds right away and lets him go. I agree with their decision, but if he didn't intend to make those comments public - this raises some really interesting privacy issues.
Here is the Megyn Kelly video clip from Fox:
Should we assume that every voicemail we leave has the potential to be public information? I guess so, but that is a little scary if you think about it. -Geico is justified in firing him -Freedomworks is looking very any reason to garnish publicity, they went the extra mile to get this guy (which is wrong and they should be sued) Fox News remains the skewed source - that's obvious though. Do you agree or disagree with the firing? Bonus Audio: I bugged the GEICO office and heard the auditions for new slogans, great stuff:
