I support Jennifer Brunner. There are a lot of people who call me and many of my friends nobody including some of our friends at the DSCC. I have pictures of a few of them. Please see below the fold.
I also have been motivated by ohdemvoter's diary from a couple of days ago. If you want to read it, here is the link: http://www.dailykos.com/...
On April 17, 2010, I went to the 11th Congressional District Community Caucus @ John Adams High School on the southeast side of Cleveland. Marcia Fudge ran the event, and it was cohosted by "Are you listening can you hear me teen summit", a motivational meeting for young people going on in the same building. I went to the event because Jennifer Brunner (SoS) was going to be there, and I am a volunteer for her campaign. She came to say a few words and she did. One of the questions I had was "Where was Lee Fisher?". I hadn't voted as yet, and was hopeful that I could see him and hear what he had to say. His supporters were there, but not him. There were other local pols absent as well ("Independent Ken Lanci who I've been seeing plastered on the local buses), but what do I know about this stuff. The meeting finished.
Long story short, I met David Dettman, Jennifer Brunner's campaign manager, and he invited me to ride on "the Courage Express". I said why not and changed my plans. So I went. I had fun. I haven't had that much fun since the Inauguration of my new favorite President Barack Hussein Obama. We drove to the West Side of Cleveland and had lunch on the bus. We stopped in a neighborhood and Jennifer canvassed. I think we were in Fairview Park.
We stopped next at the "Beers for Brunner" event at P.J. McIntyre's Irish Pub in the Kamm's Corners neighborhood of Cleveland. We had a very enthusiatic crowd. Hey why not with free beer, free food and the Cleveland Cavs game about to come on the TV. There were a number of Democratic activists, and Dems running for office.
Here are some pictures:
