Do you want another bold progressive in the Senate? I know I do, and that's why I support Jennifer Brunner in the Ohio Democratic Senate Primary.
It has been reported that the DSCC will step into the primary race to support Lee Fisher. Something they should not do, because it diverts much needed cash to a primary.
Jennifer Brunner has been an advocate for progressive causes through out her career. In 2007, Brunner was elected Secretary of State for Ohio. She began the extensive clean up of the electoral system of Ohio, which had been severally damaged by Republicans during the past decade. For her work she won a Profile in Courage Award from the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum. As a senator, Brunner wants to continue election reform on the national level. She also supports a woman's right to choose, marriage equality, the repeal of "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", and protecting the environment. Brunner Issues
As of now Secretary Brunner and Lt. Govenor Lee Fisher are in a tight race in the polls. Fisher has out raised Brunner by a large margin. But Brunner has a larger grassroots campaign. Raising small amounts of money from many individuals rather than a large chunk of change from a corporate backers. Jennifer Brunner would be the strongest candidate in the general as well.
If everyone who can contribute does so. Imagine the amount of money the Brunner campaign can raise, and what they can do with it.
