Glancing through the GOOPER blogs, there seems to be universal admiration fo the GOOPER Gov of Louisiana.
Would things be different were he a member of the Democratic Party?
Obese Impotent Draft Dodger: Now, are you ready for this, Gov, PEE ush, Jindal, wants money from the hard working people of South Carolina to help clean up the mess he caused in his state. People, how ridiculous is this. I say to Gov. PEE Ush, this is not India.
Pat Robertson: The 10 Commandments are very clear on this point. Have no gods before me. And they were referring to the Obama Administration. Yet, we have this supposed Christian, who goes by the name of PEE Ush, wants to take money from the devil!
Larry Kudlow on CNBC: Listen, free markets are free markets. BP should make a profit on this mess and the government should stay out of it. Ronald Reagan said it best when he liberated Aushwitz: tax cuts are the only solution to prevent this type of horror. And I will maintain the high ground and not bring up the fact that this governor has a most un American name like Pee Ush.
Sarah Palin: Oil spills are like the economy in spring time. As a mother and businesswoman and grandmother and a taxpayer I can honestly say that what kind of name is PEE Ush anyway but to mock my virginal daughter by that awful, "Drill, Baby, Drill" slogan which only the liberal media has attributred to me.
Wall Street Urinal: This disaster which is clearly the fault of the Truman/Kennedy/Johnson/Carter/Clinton/Obama adminstration policies would not have happened under Reagan or Bush/Bush. Gov. Piyush Jindal (D-LA) fails to understand what the voters have consistently said since 1947 -- the Democrats are responsible for all the world's ills. Gov. Piyush must stop asking for taxpayer funds to deal with yet another crisis in Lousiana. Surely, the Gov. Piyush and President Osama can find a role for someone whom that public has enormous trust -- one of the highly capable Cheney daughters to deal with this mess.
NRO: The liberal media again distorts the meaning of "Drill, Baby, Drill". The slogan had little to do with offshore drilling and more with freeing the dental industry from ObamaCare. It is the job of the Mayor of New Orleans to handle oil spills. The Constitution is quite explicit, there is no mention of oil spills anywhere.
Fred Barnes: We should bomb the British. That is what George Bush would have done. Instead we have this Indian governor and Kenyan President trying to spend my tax money to clean up this mess. These two have no knowledge of American history. The Brits have been after Lousiana since 1812 and now we are going to hand it to them on a silver platter. Other than the thousands who died on 9/11 not a single American died from a terrorist attack on the United States. And President Bush cunningly declared war on Iraq to avenge that attack. What say you Gov. Piyush and President Osama?
Antonin Scalia: We find no mention of the use of federal funds to clean up oil spills in the U. S. Constitution. The founding fathers were quite clear in the limited role of the federal government in all matters. I speak for the majority when I say that the Lousiana Purchase itself was unconstitutional and hence we Gov. Piyush has no standing to petition this Honorable Court.
Clarence Thomas: I am a victim here also.
