You heard it here first. My prediction is that the new British Parliament will last no longer than one year before it collapses and new elections are called.

Tories and Lib Dems governing together? You gotta be shitting me. Now, I don't claim to know a whole lot about political parties in the UK, but I don't see much of a marriage here.
I could be wrong. It might be like the schwarz-gelb coalition in Germany, where the two parties involved have traditionally gotten along, but I'm going with my hunch that it's more like Rachael Maddow and Pat Buchanan doing a show together. You knew that wouldn't last long.
I certainly hope the Liberal Democrats got something in exchange for their cooperation. I mean, they could have gone in with Labor and figured something out, but the resulting coalition was a little bit short. Too much butt kissing of the tiny little fringe party MPs would have been involved, and I would have to give that arrangement six months tops.
I supppose if I were British, I'd be fairly comfortable with the new arrangement between the Tories and the Lib Dems, since the new PM will likely be disinclined to do much that might piss off their partners. Thus, I guess what they'll have would be more like Tory-lite at worst.
