The Night Beat: Angry Obama Expected Tomorrow
MAY 13 2010, 9:11 PM ET | Comment
President Obama is angry about the oil spill, its magnitude, and BP's stalling -- and tomorrow, he is going to let his frustrations spill out at a late-morning press availability after he meets with senior officials.
Tonight, Obama raised $1.3 million for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee. He was in a fighting mood, calling Nancy Pelosi the type of person who is "elegant even as she's ripping your heart out. If you mess with her."
A few comments below the fold. (Do newbies know what this means?)
I certainly hope that we will see some true reactions, true actions and no overnight backing away.

Scientists Suspect Giant Plume Of Oil Is Underwater.. Government Can't Find It

I don't want rage, or quips or good timing. I want look at the camera, looking at you BP and Haliburton, silence. It's way better.
Then I want us, the government to take over this ungodly mess. It won't make me feel any better about the creatures which mistake a floating island of oil blobs for their real home in sea kelp. Or for the birds and sea mammals which must dive or swim through the "water column" full of oil debris and try to live.
But training on clean up for out of work people, deploying boatmen with crews, coordinated and instructed crews. My goodness, we can do this.
How is our diplomacy with Norway going? Can they tell us what they have planned for an uncontrolled explosion in the North Sea? What would they do?
How's our situation room going? With experts who can tell us what is coming out of that pipe and how much.
How's our relationship with numerous universities and their professors studying oil?
And do we know any fluid and climatology experts? We are the government. We can call on anyone in the world.
This project manager is sad, unhappy, and full of conviction we need to get on it.
