We won the primary last night. This is worth celebrating. But now it's time to get back to work. And one of the best ways to do that is to join the Joe Sestak Action Network. The set up may look a little familiar as it appears to be based on the same sort of software as the Obama network from the 2008 election. I joined up and took my first action through it today: a letter to the editor.
I figured that since the primary is over, it's time to start showing everyone what the race is really about now that Joe Sestak is taking on the odious Pat Toomey. Here's how I see the race, but I'm sure other people have other views on the subject. This is a copy of the letter to the editor I just sent to the Philadelphia Inquirer through the Action Network. Put your own voice out in the newspapers and cyberspace and make sure everyone knows what this race is really about. Only a few months until we win in November!
Now that the primary is over, the voters of Pennsylvania have a clear choice. Do we want a Senator who is against ensuring that everyone is able to have health insurance regardless of preexisting conditions, or do we want a Senator who believes that we have a duty to ensure that everyone has access to good, affordable healthcare? Do we want a Senator who continues to believe in "drill, baby, drill" while thousands of gallons of oil spill into the Gulf every single day, or do we want a Senator who understands that the future of America lies in clean, renewable energy and the green jobs that will create? In short, do we want a Senator Pat Toomey, or do we want a Senator Joe Sestak? The choice is clear. The right vote is a vote for a better future. The right vote is for Joe Sestak.
