Today, Mr. Cranberrylib received a fundraising letter from the Republican Party. Which, given the overwhelmingly one-sided political slant of our cozy household, is hilarious in the extreme.
I thought y'all would enjoy the email he shot off a few minutes later:
Dear National Republican Congressional Committee --
Today I received something called the "2010 Republican Party Precinct Survey" in the mail, with a fundraising letter headed "Dear Fellow Republican." It gave me a chuckle because I am not and never will be a registered or even unregistered Republican.
Please be sure to remove me from whatever database I accidentally got placed on, because sending me further mailings is just a waste of your money and, more importantly, a waste of our precious natural resources.
Sincerely,
Mr. Cranberrylib
A left-wing, Obama-voting, tax-paying, New York Times- and Daily Kos-reading, health-care-supporting, pro-gay-marriage, pro-choice, registered Democrat.
P.S.: The bank bailout that your letter goes on and on about was signed into law by President Bush in October 2008. It's true! You can look it up. Just figured I'd let you know, since you seem to have forgotten and are blaming it all on the Democrats.
