A diary here on DKos has some information concerning the murder of two police officers in Arkansas on Thursday. The diarist speculated that the the cop killers - right-wing extremist Jerry Kane and his 16 year-old son - may have been influenced by Glenn Beck's Nazi rhetoric.
Now it appears there is a direct connection between Jerry Kane and Glenn Beck's "9/12 Project".
Glenn Beck's 9/12 Project Web site on October 9, 2009 announced "Two Exceptional Nights with Jerry Kane". Callers to the radio talk show would learn new strategies for fighting foreclosure and credit card debt.
Kane's debt-avoidance swindle sounds eerily like Ron Paul's criticism of the US monetary system:
As a result of HJR 192, and from that day forward (June 5, 1933), no one in this nation has been able to lawfully pay a debt or lawfully own anything. The only thing one can do, is tender in transfer of debts, with the debt being perpetual. The suspension of the gold standard, and prohibition against paying debts, removed the substance for our common law to operate on, and created a void as far as the law is concerned. This substance was replaced with a "PUBLIC NATIONAL CREDIT SYSTEM" where debt is "LEGAL TENDER" money.
HJR 192 was implemented immediately. The day after President Roosevelt signed the resolution, the treasury offered the public new government securities, minus the traditional "payable in gold" clause.
Jerry Kane basically denied the legitimacy of the US government. What a tragedy that two police officers had to die and that Kane dragged his son into to his delusional actions.
Even now, the right-wing libertarian extremists are defending Jerry Kane and blaming the police for the tragedy.
Here's what my state constitution says...yours says something very similar:
Missouri Constitution | Article I
BILL OF RIGHTS | Section 3
August 28, 2009
Powers of the people over internal affairs, constitution and form of government.
Section 3. That the people of this state have the inherent, sole and exclusive right to regulate the internal government and police thereof, and to alter and abolish their constitution and form of government whenever they may deem it necessary to their safety and happiness, provided such change be not repugnant to the Constitution of the United States.
All those concerned need to make the above their own and post it to every news media outlet posing the Kanes as guilty before proven innocent. ~ John Galt
