Cornyn: Rand Paul Did 'The Right Thing' Canceling Meet The Press Appearance
Appearing on Meet The Press, National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn (R-TX) said: "Well, Dr. Paul's new to running for public office, and I think it's Bob's [Menendez] experience, I'm sure my experience, that you see novice candidates occasionally stumble on questions. I think he's clarified his position. But I think he's done the right thing. As much fun as this is, David [Gregory], to be here with you, I think he needs to be talking to the voters back in Kentucky, the people who actually will be able to cast a ballot on whether he's elected as the next United States senator or not."
WRONG...
First of all he did not stumble because he said something wrong or he was asked the wrong question, he said what he believed in and his extreme views raised the scrutiny on him, that his views DO NOT reflect the kind of country we want for ourselves is very different than actually saying something that he clearly did not meant to say to the public, now that could be considered as a stumble, but he was so willing to give the same information he went on the largest of Kentucky's newspapers, Louisville Courier-Journal, NPR and MSNBC and said the same damn thing, those are his Core Principles.
As a possible United States Senator Mr. Rand Paul will be passing judgment on issues of National importance, if he wanted only to deal with issues in Kentucky then he should have run for State Senator.
The problem with Mr. Paul running for the US Senate is that his views affect not only the people in Kentucky but the people in the other 49 states, he gets to cast a vote on matters that define the kind of country that we are and everyone in this country should scrutinize his extreme views, too bad his own party has decided to ignore all of that just to win. What happened to Country first?
