Lake Palin
Lake Palin is a growing lake consisting of rogue hydrocarbons and dispersants, extending from its source off Louisiana into the Gulf, and carried by the Loop Current past Florida, up the East Coast and onwards into the Atlantic.
The term Lake is used, to denote a foreign body surrounded by water, instead of the term Sea.
Lake Palin during the early stage of formation
While originally falsely estimated to be of limited size, it turns out that major portions of this hydrocarbon-lake was underneath the surface of the ocean, and that it is moving in enormous plumes, killing oceanlife in the process. Portions of Lake Palin make landfall according to the movements of the wind and currents, causing devastation to local economies and death to wildlife.
Original estimates as to the power of the source have been revised upwards. Lake Palin is presently growing by at least 20.000 barrels/day, and it is possible that supergrowth can occur, at which point the extension of Lake Palin will reach an order of magnitude which it is difficult to comprehend.
Sarah Palin has been a tool of corporate interests for a long time, and is a leading mouthpiece for lobbyists and their masters.
She vigorously led the chant of "Drill baby! Drill!" during her run for the vice presidency, while calling for unrestricted drilling in U.S. waters in order to "secure America's future."
Palin and others on her side of the political spectrum have fought government regulation and supervision of oil companies and their activities with unrelenting ardor.
We should reward Sarah Palin - for her exceptional willingness to set aside her integrity for the sake of corporate interests, and for her infinite stamina as a willing exploiter of nature - let us name the lake of oil she helped create in her honor:
Lake Palin
Let us begin referring to the lake of oil in the Gulf by its right name. Both she and McCain paid lip service to alternative energy sources, but they were always the true servants of the oil industry. That's where their money came from.
Here's Sarah paying lip service and showing her true goal. For this she has earned herself a geographical oceanmark - Lake Palin.
In June '08 she and John McCain called for a lifting of the broad federal gov't restrictions on off-shore drilling.
His followers were enthusiastic.
McCain is soon history, but Sarah Palin wants to keep having an impact on the world. Well, she has succeeded, she's got a lake named after her. It's only fitting.
