Yes, you read that correctly. I’m voting Republican. Why, you ask? Well, it’s because I’m fed up. I’m fed up with the bullshit. I’m fed up with the arrogance. I’m fed up with the grandstanding, the showboating, the palling-around-with-lobbyists, the backroom deals, the fuck-you-it’s-all-about-me attitude. I’m fed up with the constant moral destruction of our country. There are a lot of reasons I’m voting Republican. Join me over the fold for the exact reasons WHY I’m voting Republican.
I’m voting Republican because of shit like this:
I’m voting Republican because of shit like this:
And this:
Oh, and who can forget shit like this?
Yes, those are all valid reasons for my voting Republican.
But it’s not what you think. I’m voting in the Republican primary on Tuesday, June 8.
Here in Virginia, we have open primaries. This allows you to vote in any party’s primary, whether you’re a Republican, Democrat, Independent or Commie. Here in my district (VA-11), we have a Republican primary for the House race. Whoever wins on Tuesday goes up against incumbent Democratic Rep. Gerry Connolly. Here’s exactly why I’m voting Republican: I’m voting for the weakest Republican to go up against Connolly, so Connolly will win in November.
I’ve spoken to a few people about this, and every one of them told me that I was wrong in doing this. Why? Why is it wrong? Isn’t the whole point of an election to vote for the person whom you think would be best for the position? In this case, the position is the Republican opponent to the Democratic incumbent. I feel that the Republican for whom I’m voting would be the best Republican to go up against Connolly, just because he has the lowest chances of winning.
Republicans do the same thing. One of my high school teachers told us about her very conservative sister voting for Hillary Clinton in the 2008 Presidential Primary, just because she thought that she would easily lose to McCain. A more high profile example of this was Rush Limpdick’s “Operation Chaos” (my apologies for linking to Newsmax).
As a matter of fact, here's another testament to Republican hypocrisy:

The South Carolina and Greenville County Republican parties have gone to court in an attempt to block Democrats from voting in their primaries.
In a new lawsuit filed in Greenville, the Republicans argue that permitting Democrats to vote in their primaries violates their constitutional rights to free association and equal protection under the law.
I'm sure the SC GOP movement to close their primaries is blessed by GOP Chair Limbaugh.
Here are the states with open primaries. If you have a Republican primary where you live, and there are no Democratic primaries, I encourage you to vote for the weakest Republican. It’s your right.
-Alabama
-Arkansas
-Georgia
-Hawaii
-Idaho
-Indiana
-Michigan
-Minnesota
-Mississippi
-Missouri
-North Dakota
-South Dakota
-Tennessee
-Texas

I’m fed up with the Republicans and their racist bullshit Tea Party. I’m fed up with Republican grandstanding. I’m fed up with Republican obstruction. We are getting shit done and leaving you in the dust. History will not look kindly upon you. I’m voting for the weakest Republican in the primary, and I’m voting for the strongest Democrat in November. And we will win.
