A recent report from ABC's Chris Cuomo has, I believe, gotten too little attention. It's truly horrifying.
If you only know of the Westboro Baptist Church from what you've read or heard, the following video will quickly disabuse you of any misconceptions regarding the sanity of the group's members. And although it's a long clip, and painful to watch, please take the time to do so.
(Be ready to perform whatever cleansing rituals you deem appropriate after viewing.)

Won't someone think of the children?
Well ... Peter LaBarbera and his organization, "Americans For Truth," are concerned enough about the youth of America to have created a three-day seminar (only $99 for students age 14-25; adults pay $199):
We’re delighted to announce the debut of our ongoing "Americans For Truth Academy," designed to train young people (as well as older pro-family advocates) how to answer "gay" activist misinformation and fight the homosexual-bisexual-transsexual agenda.
This August 5-7, AFTAH will bring together some of the country’s leading pro-family experts on homosexuality to teach both young and old how to answer the lies and myths that so readily emanate from the "GLBT" ("gay") camp. I am very excited about this new project’s potential to reverse years of pro-"gay" brainwashing in the schools and popular culture — corrupting the hearts and minds of our young people.
Let’s face it: much of the conservative establishment has dropped the ball on fighting the homosexual agenda (or given up entirely), so AFTAH is stepping up to train a new generations of activists to contend with the sexual sin movement that has fooled so many Americans into treating a human wrong — changeable same-sex behavior — as a "civil right."

Finally, I would be remiss if I didn't give a shout out to the Chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, who is also thinking of the children:
Conservative Missouri Democrat Rep. Ike Shelton, the chairman of the House Armed Services Committee, said today that the military should keep the "don't ask, don't tell" policy intact in part to avoid parents having to talk to their children about homosexuality.
I breathe easier knowing that people like this are manning the barricades against what is obviously, in the words of Americans For Truth, "a direct threat to our religious freedom."
