Look guys and gals, I know you're really, really ticked off with us Brits right now, but come on...............do you hate us THAT much?
The story I read in a UK newsper today had me quaking in my poor little boots. OK, some of the shaking had to do with laughing, but most of it was fear and loathing.
Seems like $arah may be trying to boost her 'presidential' CV by travelling to the UK for a 'meet cute/photo op' with Lady Margaret Thatcher.
The story the Daily Mail printed was juvenile in parts, but the gist of it was enough to make my blood curdle.

Sarah Palin lines up UK trip – and a visit to Lady Thatcher
Her representatives approached Margaret Thatcher to ask for a meeting as part of a bid to enhance her claim to be the ‘heir to Ronald Reagan’ and prepare to challenge Mr Obama.
(The story talks more about $arah enhancing herself, but I won't go there)
snip.........
One individual involved in the talks about the visit said: ‘Palin’s people haven’t said anything about meeting Cameron. Their main interest is getting a picture of her with Lady Thatcher. I’m not sure they know who David Cameron is.’
(Not sure who that is more embarrassing for, $arah or Cameron.)
snip.............
Mr Cameron would have to decide whether to pose for photographs with her on the steps of No 10, invite her in through the back door – or meet her elsewhere more discreetly.
(Where would that be?, round the back of the bike sheds?)
There could be one teensy, weensy problem with this stunning plan though....

Margaret Thatcher's struggle with dementia revealed in daughter's memoir
Ms Thatcher details her mother’s fading mental powers in a memoir of life in and out of Downing Street. The death of Sir Denis Thatcher in 2003 was "truly awful" since she "kept forgetting he was dead", according to the book, A Swim-on Part in the Goldfish Bowl: A Memoir. "Every time it finally sank in that she had lost her husband of more than 50 years, she’d look at me sadly and say ‘Oh’, as I struggled to compose myself. ‘Were we all there?’ she’d ask softly.
snip..........
Lady Thatcher, 82, was advised to stop public speaking on health grounds shortly before her husband’s death. Although it is known widely that she has suffered a number of strokes, her dementia has been far less publicised. The first signs were apparent when she was 75, according to her daughter, who tells of her becoming confused about the Bosnian and Falklands conflicts during a lunch in 2000
Now, I'm not a massive fan of Lady T, but the woman wouldn't recognise her own daughter so I find it pretty ridiculous that Palin's people think this is in any way a great idea.
I took a little trip to the always hilarious Palin fansite to see what they made of it.
Still, Palin will quietly enter the UK and meet with the Baroness at a time of her convenience and listen to her years of wisdom. The Baroness will size Palin up for Cameron. Palin needs to be on her toes, because the Iron Lady will quiz her up and down. This is part of a vetting process. Some of what Thatcher learns will be passed back to serious players in the Republican Party who can help or hinder her. Including the Bush family, who will decided whether or not Jeb runs this time or in 2016.
Sarah Palin WILL go to Israel. In secret. Probably on this trip. This is probably being arranged through the Israeli Embassy and friends of hers in the IDF (there already is a relationship, of that you can be sure. Her militant Christian Zionism has already won her a fan base in the IDF and the Government....). I suspect the trip will come after the Thatcher trip and she'll get the grand tour/media scrum. Gaza front, Golan, photo ops with the Parachute Regiment, Jerusalem, etc..
Sarah Palin in Israel will be much, much bigger than Bush in 1998.
Much bigger. She'll be mobbed.
Not much you can say in the face of so much stupid.
I apologise to all the people who don't want any Palin diaries, just remember that some of us like a laugh on a Sunday.
