Today my borough of Media PA had the annual 5-mile race. One of our Democratic State legislators from Haverford township participates in the race every year. But this year, he wasn't the only politician at the race this year. Details below the fold.
I was watching the runners finish the race and walking around the awards area when I saw a guy who looked slightly familiar and then I realized he flanked by two beefy looking guys in Navy blue T-shirts with yellow letters that said "Team Meehan." It was Pat Meehan, the Republican guy running for Congress.(The former US Att. who tried Vince Fumo but claimed there was nothing to investigate in his fellow Repub. State Senator Dominic Pileggi.) He was wearing business clothes; blue shirt dressy pants and LOAFERS/Dress Shoes with Tassels. There wasn't a drop of sweat on the guy. Not the look of people who've just run 5 miles.
Meanwhile, Greg Vitali, one of our local state reps. did what he does every year: ran the race. He not only finished the 5 mile race, he was about 55th of over 1300 entrants and ran the entire course in something over 32 minutes.
I know this diary is a little short, but I thought there might be folks here who would interested in knowing.
