First McCrystal is insulted that the President doesn’t know who he is. Did he mean that President Obama didn’t know that he, General McCrystal, was prominent in the coverup regarding the cause of Pat Tillman’s death?
Now McCrystal was planning on asking for more troops this summer letting it slip to a reporter before informing the President, backing him into a corner again? This is just a military trick for more money, more power; thus the reference to playing him like a fiddle.
Tho I count on our President’s intelligence, he has seemed timid around the military. It seems he never took seriously the Eisenhower warning , "...guard against....the military complex..."
How many times do we need to hear that we can’t win in Afghanistan backing a corrupt government before our President hears it?
How many lives have to be sacrificed? How many contractors do we have to pay? There’s another contract to Blackwater? Are you kidding me?
I appreciate Obama’s under the radar accomplishments but expect we’ll hear about most of these once he leaves office. Did he learn nothing from the experience of the Johnson administration? Johnson did a lot but never knew the truth in, "Declare victory and go home." I guess we’ll have to leave that to a Republican. The Dems are too busy pretending they are the honest ones.
Man up President Obama. Declare victory and bring us home. Use the money domestically and stop cowering to the military. They were appointed by Bush and are "playing you."
