What's your happy story? In the light of disasters that are manmade and natural, it may feel like there's no happiness to be found. However, life has a special way of enduring in making bright the moments we share in our human spirit with each other. For me, my happy story is enjoying my first year of marriage with my husband and my dog, Bella. Life is so incredibly beautiful in the moments I share with them on summer evenings like these.

For instance, we found a funny happy story with my dog who has a horrible case of shedding hair in the summer, and we were both laughing as we groomed her. The hair alone from her, a cattle dog mix, could be turned into a winter coat for a chihuahua. We had no idea she'd shed like this when we adopted her in March!

But then again, life has a funny way of surprising you. I look at my husband and I think to myself how lucky I am to have him. We've grown up so much since we met at that party in December of 2006, and here we are, four years later, married and enjoying ourselves. We have a wonderful family, and we indeed are blessed with so much.

I just simply am going to enjoy the happy moments I have with him, and get ready for all the future happinesses down the road. Life is beautiful even in its drudgery, and it shines on forward in the pleasures we take, even for a brief moment.

With that said, I ask of you all--what are your happy moments?

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
