The DKos-R2K war is heating up to ridiculous levels.
Josh Marshall posted a note a few minutes ago saying that Der Ali, the president of R2K, has threatened "criminal sanctions" against Markos:
Research 2000 President Deli Ali tells TPMmuckraker in an email that the explosive claim by Daily Kos Tuesday that the firm fabricated poll data has dealt a "fatal" blow to his business, and, "Several long time clients who believe in us have stated that even after we are cleared and criminal sanctions are imposed on Kos, that they can not do business with us due to perception."
He also has threatened to soon reveal information that will destroy Daily Kos:
Ali told the Lexington Herald-Leader that, "What we're going to reveal, that will be the end of the Daily Kos." He did not specify to the paper what he was talking about, but hinted it had to do with an alleged billing dispute, which we reported on yesterday.

I can't wait to see the pleadings now being prepared by AdamB!
On a side note, TPM was quick to conduct its own review and concluded that R2K's polling had too much of a cloud over it to be included any more in the TPM Polltracker series: http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/... .
By the way, I'm well aware that most people here also read at TPM and 538 and so forth, so this may not be news to them. But I love to see discussion about all of this stuff right here.
UPDATE: Be sure to see discussion below about whether Howrey is representing Ali on a pro bono basis, and my link to the bio page of Ali's lawyer Richard Beckler. Fascinating stuff. Markos has genuine courage. I darn sure would not want be deposed by Richard Beckler.
