The November election is no longer about blue dogs vs. progressives or pragmatist vs. purist or whatever the hell kind of different comparisons there are within the Democratic ideology.

If you are a Democrat, the time to be divided should be over and done with now. The primary season is over. Some Blue dogs are gone, some progressives we had wanted have not made it, some blue dogs are still around and some new progressives are on the rise and will be shaping the future of our country for the better.

The November election is about going forward not going backwards. It is about electing Democrats to defuse the war Republican'ts have declared. This country has a history of treating a sector of its people poorly but now it is not just a certain minority groups being ridiculed and catching hell, it is the majority progressive community and we will feel the pain unless we are motivated to fight for our own self interest.

The choice is ours to seize the moment and keep doing great things. We must become more motivated because we have plenty to be motivated about and too much to lose if we don't unite for our common cause.

Check out these Republican't Ads below. It is more of a reason for us to rise up as one and debunk the poisonous rhetoric being spewed by the other side.

If you are a Democrat, you must know what we must do this November even if we are bitter about some things. Some of us are disappointed about certain things and will continue to be disappointed but staying home is giving the green light to destroying our livelihood. How does 25% Unemployment rate, a 50% house value depreciation, record Bankruptcies, Homelessness and Despair, increased Crime Rate, tax cut to the wealthy, messed up environment, de-regulating Wall Street, more war, etc., sounds to you?

Remember the 8 years of Bushism?

The alternative for staying home is as good as voting for a Republican't. It is that simple. Not voting or encouraging other not to vote because we are pissed, spinning unfounded accusation or belittling our own efforts is as good as throwing the wet towel on the foot but not feeling the wetness.

That is why we need to speak the truth about the things we have accomplished to rally the troops. The Administration ain't going to do it all by themselves to fight the lies that are told by the Republican'ts. Whatever our differences and dissatisfaction are we can either make things worse or continue to complain about some democrats not deserving of another term. I sure will take a blue dog democrats any day than a Republican't like Rand Paul.

So, let us motivate ourselves for the things we have accomplished to date (see below) and aim high to accomplish more in the next 6 1/2 years.

What have we achieved so far?

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

On Jobs and MoreThe Stimulus Has WorkedOn Our Alternatives

An article worth reading by Peter Beinart: Truth is, Obama has exceeded in 18 months what Clinton and Carter achieved in a combined 12 years.

The truth is, we need to be vocal in shaping the message that goes out. We are the #1 progressive blog and we seem to shape the message of the right wind nuts out there. Let's be smart and acknowledge what we have done. We have earned it. It is because of us that we got as much accomplished. For as much as we have done, if we fail, there is no where to look further than our own short comings. So, let's put the armor and go to work in supporting Democrats win this November.

If you are not a member of Organize for America (OFA), it is time to get started. There is no room for complacency.

Are you with me? I got plenty of "hope" to share!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
