We need to get past this divisiveness. But who am I?
On the scale of things, I'm a relative nobody, but only for right now.
I feel like this country can be way more than what we are today, and I also feel the same for this site.
But what am I supposed to do when I'm being torn apart from all of the damn fighting?
That's just what it is, we on this site used to stand for something, but all we are now is:
Who stands by the President?
And
Who stands against him?
So I ask this community, who will stand by our current President Barack Obama?
Are we a community of progress?
Has progress been made? If you say no, what do you call this?
Yeah, I'm borrowing this.
What have we achieved so far?

I call that shit progress. Because when you consider the last 8 years I spent becoming the man I am today, I call that progress. Because the first day I went to middle school, I was frightened, shocked, and discombobulated at the fact that my country could be attacked and my people could be murdered. But then I was shocked at the fact that it is possible for my country to lie to me and everyone else for money, and for political gain.
Yes, my people, as an American citizen, we are all in this together.
I think the funny thing is, is that the future of our nation can start right here on this site.
But nobody seems to understand what the fuck WE.ARE.ALL.ARGUING.ABOUT!
Barack Obama has been in office since January 20th, 2009. 17 months, 18 months come July 20th.
Doesn't that mean something to you?
Can you remember the last 8 years?
Was any of this in the last 8 years?

I am 21 years old, and I'm in this shit for the long haul. I expect to still be voting, fighting, when I'm 60+ years old. I realize that the current state of our economy is a result of 30+ years of greed and selfishness. Bullshit trickle down economics the people of my parents generation believed.
Now, my generation is here to try and fix all of the mistakes by voting Democratic, and not the corporatist Democrat either.
We can see through the bullshit.
I expect a lot of heartache, pain, misery, disappointment, I expect a lot of negative feelings towards my political future. But I also expect a lot of good, I can't forget about the good.
But who am I?
I'm nobody, but I'm somebody who believes in the many different people here who post opinions and facts. Everybody here who now does not support this President because of the incremental progress he makes, and those who still support him for the simple progress he's made after these 8 modern medieval times. I can understand it's not about who likes and dislikes him, but it's about his policies. What he stands for.
If we all stood together we can do what we vision, but we don't stand together. And like any great group, or nation, if you don't stand united you fall.
So why the fuck can't we all get along!? Because we're Democrats?
