Just about anyone in the free world who follows political news has now viewed the ill-advised but typically insane Anti-Obama remarks barked-out by the Chair of the RNC.
Following the ill-advised case of verbal diarrhea, Steele's party elite came down on him like Hans Wieman would love to deal with Steele's head. Bill Kristol and the infamous Liz Cheney (what the hell is her claim to fame) are the most notable of the GRAND OBSTRUCTIONIST PARTY to slam Steele.
Whats next in the saga?
Micheal Steels is but another case of short-sightedness and political incompetence from the GOP/RNC. The first case? Come on now think outside of the box just a bit: Sarah Palin.
As is typical conservatives in America are merely reactionary opportunist. Hilary loses the party nomination; within weeks the GOP/RNC dug deep for an obscure 'trailer Mom....I mean hockey Mom' from Alaska. What set of qualification did she posses that would warrant the number two spot on the ticket? She was reported to be conservative and she was a 'she". Oh, let's not forget the effort to appeal to the libido of those who may need a libido boost; they felt she was cute (a matter that fails me on every viewing).
OH, how silly Pardu!!!! Before I respond with curt 'touche' I will direct your attention to the cheap shot winking at the VP Debate. Alas, a diverse move from the GOP/RNC but a move made in attempt to garner disgruntled Hilary supporters. BACK-FIRED!
The next major blunder of the GOP? Come all yea forward with Micheal Steele. Strategy: appeal to black voters in any way possible. "Let's face it the Dems have a black (Or mixed race if you prefer) candidate for the top office; oh whoa is us". From his first days of blunders on The GOP website via far too much urban (If you will) verbiage, via his "that is how we roll' comments in front of Pat Buchanan regarding wearing his hat backwards. (HOW OLD IS STEELE? Wear his hat backwards? Homes, Homes, give the brothers a break!)
Jump forward to the oft viewed blunder of the month. So what happens next. AH...a feeble attempt at clarification.
In a clarification statement Friday, Steele said Obama had "shifted his focus" from Iraq to Afghanistan, and "for the sake and security of the free world, our country must give our troops the support necessary to win this war." History has shown that winning in Afghanistan is a difficult task, he said, but "it is also a necessary one. That's why I support the the decision to increase our troop force."
Here it is in complete splendor
The retraction, while typical and indicative of weak levels of critical thinking, is full of more Steel verbal diarrhea.
Most sane conservatives would avoid any mention of leaving one war zone (Afghanistan) to play Roy Rogers in another (Iraq). It is well documented that the Bush Administration chose to chase the dragon in Iraq vs, finish off what was left of the then fledgling Al Qaeda. "shifted his focus from Iraq to Afghanistan." Micheal, Michael, we must truly do better, dude, history and precedent are working against you.
I wonder, and I am curious if any of your wonder, if Steele was given an urban litmus test or a GOP 'cool guy' test before he was elected to the Chair of the RNC position? But, then if one of the competition was the 'Barack, the magic Negro' guy, I suppose the election was a slam-dunk for Steele.
Keep talking Michael! You, Palin, Boehner, Bachmann, Beck and Angles and others (like the GOP Senators) are brightening the sky for November.
