"Death in the Gulf." BP and Halliburton committing ecocide.
This WineRev Model series provides a home for pics and vids. WineRev covered the 2009 Senate recount with a delightful 157 diary series. "Recounting Minnesota" at Amazon
Meanwhile, following its "1,000 gallons a day" lie, Coast Guard and BP referenced this map showing quick, clean flushing for the Gulf of Mexico:
No-no-no-no-no-no-no..... In deep water circular currents makes flow patterns quite complicated.
Greenpeace is brilliant:

Research on the deep water flows of the Gulf of Mexico measured flows that do not resemble the simplistic media map.
Even surface-based guesstimates look much more complicated and unstable:
The problem with the multiple cycles is that cyclone and anti-cyclones in the deep water currents will combine to delay appearance of this oil spew at the surface.
Waves and wind must bring the oil down to the main Loop Current, then out to the Florida Straits. But the estimates, now, go to a 95% reappearance in a time line of 6 months to 5 years.
Here is the NOAA map for Florida Straits currents.
What seems indicated is that spurts of oil spew will be moved into the Loop Current, then on to the Straits current system. And that this will recur for at least 5 years.
Meanwhile the 1.694 MM gallons -- figure from BP by way of Scarce -- of dispersant have changed oil to this:
And these wind-coagulations are all over the place:
I looked at the Greenpeace images. Will return later and post several to the comments.
And of course:
Pogo never met BP, Halliburton, or the GOPer and DINO sell-outs.
