The prospect of unleashing the guy who stacked the state school board with creationists and historical revisionists -- and whose state party wants to outlaw oral sex -- on to an entire nation is naturally a bit unnerving. Especially considering the last conservative Texan who sat in the oval office. But just the sheer spectacle of Perry running hard in the tea party primary would be like a federal jobs program for progressive bloggers.
