Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee made comments essentially saying that the Tea Party is the modern day Klan, the Tea Party loving Bachmann responded by saying
"Here you have a member of Congress saying that mainstream America,
God fearing freedom loving patriots who object to this out of control
spending, now they are part of the KKK?" Bachman said. "That's
essentially what she is saying. I don't [know] any more of a worse smear that
you could possibly have."
I know of worst smears ,those made by your freedom loving patriots, right here
While I generally think it's difficult and unfair to define someone as a racist without knowing their heart, I think we have a pretty clear understanding of Michele Bachmann's heart by now.
Not only is Bachmann openly supporting and promoting the idea of a Tea Party Caucus, she's fundraising for candidates who would be members of this caucus. Today she campaigned for John Gomez running for Congress in NY-02. Not exactly earth-shattering for Bachmann to be promoting candidates that would join her group of freedom lovers. However, Gomez is a lifelong friend of Sean Hannity who is using Faux News as a conduit.
HANNITY: All right. By the way, you're going to be at -- tomorrow morning for those people in New York, Long Island, you are supporting somebody who I was best friends with from third grade.
BACHMANN: That's what I understand.
HANNITY: My friend John Gomez.
BACHMANN: Even though he's your best friend, I love John Gomez, he's a great candidate and he's running against Steve Israel his opponent.
HANNITY: Yes.
BACHMANN: And I cannot wait to go out there.
HANNITY: Steve Israel votes for Nancy Pelosi, 99 percent, I've invited him on this program, on the radio, he won't come.
BACHMANN: John Gomez told me that he would be a part of the Tea Party caucus in the United States Congress. We welcome him. We need John Gomez. So, I'm just hoping that a lot of people on Long Island will work for him to get him in office.
So perhaps you think that it's a stretch to make these "mainstream freedom loving Americans" members of the KKK. But you cannot deny the fact that your Tea Party folks are promoting overt racism without the white sheets. You don't even try and deny it from what I've seen. Instead you are trying to grow your ranks.
Anyway you dress it up, The Tea Party Caucus is just another name for the White Peoples Caucus. Just go ahead and say that you need a White Persons Caucus to rival the Congressional Hispanic Caucus or the Congressional Black Caucus.
Even if you were to denounce the tea party for acts of racism, I think it would be the equivalent of when Senator Jefferson Beauregard Sessions said he thought the KKK was okay until he learned they smoked pot.
Look we don't need any new reasons to support Tarryl Clark in her bid to unseat Michele Bachmann. We have quite a laundry list of transgressions. However, the more I think about it I realize the national importance of this election. Defeating Michele Bachmann is a must in order for us to stop the spread of this ridiculous rhetoric. This is by no means just an election contained to Minnesota's 6th Congressional District. This is an election that affects us all because of the beast that Michele Bachmann has become.
