Seems that karma is truly a bitch, eh Glenn! I know that this has already been diaried, but I couldn't resist this reminder of this man's hollow, self-pitying soul.
Just a few years ago, this sociopathic and narcassistic asshole was making really tasteless jokes about blind people, such as this.
Hard then for me to deeply sympathize at hearing news such as this
The Fox News personality was diagnosed with macular dystrophy and could lose his eyesight within the next year.
A teary-eyed Beck told a crowd of 6,000 fans during his American Revival tour on Saturday that he went to a doctor after having difficulty focusing his eyes.
"So, I went to the best doctor I could find – while I could still go the best doctor I could find," Beck said, taking a jab at healthcare reform.
Macular dystrophy is a rare genetic condition, which can cause vision loss that grows worse over time. Patients often experience difficulty driving, reading and identifying faces.
Imagine someone being so steeped in political hatred of his political opponents such that upon getting a potentially life altering, negative medical diagnosis, he uses the occasion for both political jabs and self-pity? Glenn Beck, a truly bad person, is about to find himself the recipient of a type of karma that seems, perhaps, cosmically reserved for persons like himself. Of course, I state this while aware that perhaps this is just one possible interpretive way of responding to news that would normally cause one to be sympathetic to someone losing their eyesight. People like Beck and Limbaugh and other spreaders of right wing extremist hatred bring more misery into the world; Glenn Beck now appears to be facing some misery of his own. That's life. I don't want to be sitting here gloating at the fact of misery, even for someone as rotten to the core as Glenn Beck. But, in all honesty, with the video reminder of who he really is, it's hard to muster up about any sympathy, either.
