I also hope President Obama realizes that. He hasn't been to Louisiana since June 4th. I'm afraid he's decided to deal with this issue at least politically by not coming back here and trying to move it off of the front page rather than dealing with the situation forcefully.
With nearly a
quarter million dollars of campaign contributions from the oil industry it's not difficult to understand why Vitter would work hard to deflect attention from his benefactors to the President.
After all if he didn't focus on scoring political points by blaming the President he might have to address the following issues he's chosen to ignore:
No if only Obama would hold more press conferences from the Gulf then these problems would be solved! There's Republican problem solving for ya: Blame Obama for not exploiting our feelings with phony photo-ops, instead of holding my wealthy benefactors accountable! After all we know how Obama's predecessor would have reacted: more cake please!
