My hands are shaking right now.
I just talked to Ahmet Dogan, the father of Furkan Dogan, a few minutes ago. I hadn’t talked to him for a while because the last time I talked to him he was so upset that I felt I had to wait and give him time to deal with his grief.
He said he was ready to talk so we talked about the way the U. S. government has been dealing (or not) with him and about how Furkan died on the Mavi Marmara during the Israeli attack on the Gaza Aid Flotilla.
For more background information you can read my first diary about Furkan.
Information from Furkan’s Autopsy:
Furkan was shot five times.
He was shot once in the left foot. This bullet caused a wound to the left two toes of that foot.
He was shot once below the left knee. This bullet broke the bones in his lower left leg and the bullet remained lodged there.
He was shot once in the back on the left side. This bullet tore through his left lung and then exited from his chest on the left side.
He was shot once in the back of his head seven cm. (apx. three inches) behind his right ear. This bullet tore through his brain and exited from the left side of his forehead.
He was shot once in the face point blank on the right side of his nose. This bullet tore through his brain and exited 1.5 cm. (1 inch) behind his left ear.
There were markings on the trunk of his body which are consistent with being beaten and/or kicked.
The distance from which he was shot the other four times could not be clearly determined because these areas were covered by clothing when he was shot and his body had been washed with ethyl alcohol and methyl alcohol in Israel. Traces of these were found in chemical tests done on the body.
How Furkan Died:
Mr. Dogan has been in contact with other people who were on the ship with Furkan and were near Furkan when he was killed. This is what he learned from them.
Furkan was killed on the top deck just above the bridge of the Mavi Marmara.
He was using a video camera and was taking a video of the helicopters flying above the Mavi Marmara when he was shot from above in the foot and leg.
His friend, who was standing next to Furkan when he was shot, helped him lay down and tried to help him.
A very short time later two Israeli soldiers approached them and dragged Furkan away to the far corner of the deck above the bridge.
This is where he was kicked, shot three more times and killed.
Contact between the U. S. government and Ahmet Dogan:
Mr. Dogan told me that he had not been informed of anything that was happening except that last month someone from the U. S. Embassy in Ankara had told him that they were waiting for the Turkish government to supply official copies of Furkan’s autopsy report.
He asked me to contact the Embassy, the State Department and the Justice Department to see if I could get any information from them about what was happening and to try to urge them to do something.
I have called the Embassy and am waiting for a response from them.
My next diary will be about this.

How do we get this story out to the MSM? If I can get in contact with Furkan's father they can too.
How can we get the White House, State Department and Justice Department to do something about this?
