I am a Connecticut resident who sadly has to call Joe Lieberman one of my elected senators - although I didnt vote for him. On a morning radio show here in Connecticut, The Party of Joe indicated that he was leaning towards supporting extending the Bush tax cust for the wealthiest Americans. He spewed the typical republican talking points about how now is not the time to raise taxes because most of the people affected are small business owners and they cannot afford a tax increase.
This is typical Joe. He doesn't have an original thought in his head and he certainly doesn't care for his constituents - of course he was elected primarily by republicans in Connecticut, so maybe he does vote the way those who elected him want him to. In any event, this guy is too much and I cannot believe we have to put up with him for 2 more years (hopefully thats it). The Party of Joe must have forgotten how the Bush tax cuts are a primary reason the deficit is in the shape its in now, and in turn, the economy. Joe is so out of touch with reality that it's just unbelieveable.
This is my first diary - although I typically just comment on others' diaries, I felt compelled to draft this after hearing the Party of Joe today and what he said. My jaw almost hit the floor - but again, I guess I shouldn't be surprised by what this guy does.
