I have a lot of opinions and I want to start with gay marriage because of what just happened in CA. Please indulge me while I rant, and offer some questions.
Tea baggers, who claim to be ultra conservative - and I know this because I happen to know one of the heads of the CT Tea Party and she identifies herself as such - are all about small government and limited - if not zero - involvement in our lives. Based on that premise and what I know about the tea baggers, doesn't it stand to reason that tea baggers - and thus, so-called conservatives do not believe that government should intrude into our personal lives and therefore the government should play no roll whatsoever in whom we choose to marry. Afer all, if government shouldn't tell us what to do - i.e. don't take away my freedoms - shouldn't we be free to shoose whom we will mate with and whom we will marry? Shouldn't our decision be free - free from intrusion by anyone else . . . especially the government? Having said that, conservatives - tea baggers - should embrace gay marriage as the ultimate freedom of a human being.
That's just my opinion - based on the principles esposed by the group. Or, do the tea baggers just hate anyone who isn't straight and white?
