This has been sitting around for three months now but we've been busy with other things.
We used to do Senate rankings with Klout, but there were a few criticisms. We're working up a new combined Klout/Twitalyzer report that should take care of those concerns.
The first concern we heard with Klout is "This is not current." Every single time. From the same guy. Hi, Todd! You'll be pleased to know that Twitalyzer not only contains the original long term Klout score, it's also got some fresh stuff because it just watches the previous week for the account in question.
The second concern was "How do I improve my score?" The answer to that was twofold - the first was to be more active, and the second was that, in the background, Klout was further breaking down the types of influence one has.
So ... Twitalyzer is full of very current, very detailed information, like a poll, while Klout is a longer term measure of effectiveness. You will want to take the time to sign up for Twitalyzer and dig around in the tools - they've added several new things in the last month and we like in particular the Network Explorer.
This is not finished. We're going to be out here until the end of August with various efforts until we get something that we (and Todd!) agree is a good, functional measure of reach within the twitterverse.
