The twinkle in those eyes must belong to the next Governor of Florida. The most important race in November needs your help. Please help us elect Alex Sink. Not only is she a candidate that shares our values and promises to make real education a priority, but her opponent is batcrap crazy and so dirty that I have an actual quote from Redstate to use against him:
Rick Scott is either corrupt or incompetent. Judging by his well run campaign, I am inclined to believe that it is the former. As Conservatives we should demand something more from our leaders. We would be eviscerating someone with Mr. Scott’s record if he was from the left.
I have been voting for 23 years, and have only missed one special election for some obscure charter changes. In those 23 years I have never voted Democrat but come November I will be going with Sink. Scott either turned a blind eye to malfeasance in his company or openly encouraged it, how can we have him run the state? It is shameful.
The shameful part of Rick Scott's resume might actually get him sent to prison for Medicare fraud.
"Rick Scott?" says Dennis Kulonda, an administrator at the Florida Institute of Technology in Orlando. He laughs out loud. It's a stage laugh, the kind you do for emphasis if you're in a Noel Coward play. "You want to know what's wrong with Rick Scott? How about how he's probably going to wind up in jail?"
When I look into Rick Scott's eyes, I don't see a Noel Coward play. I see a Soundgarden video. And I see a horror movie waiting to unfold if he wins the general election in November.
We must not let this happen.
No matter what race is most important to you in November, Jonathan Alter has the perfect mantra:
If you think the 300 billion dollars from the Bush Tax Cuts should continue to be given to the rich, vote Republican. If you think that 300 billion dollars should be used to create new jobs instead, vote Democrat.
Rick Scott would actually scoop up some of that 300 billion dollars for himself. He is a loony multi-millionaire looking to run the entire state of Florida.
Alex Sink is one of us. She has a heart and she is not afraid to use it.
One of them will be the next Governor of Florida, and the difference could not be more striking. It is the most important race in November.
