Mother Teresa would have turned 100 today so I thought we might take a quick look back at her legacy. It is also the Fifth anniversary of Katrina and the Geisha. Well, I never knew much about the Geisha’s and thought I might not be the only one and the video was well produced. I also like to do things in three’s and one can just take so much bad news.
We begin with Calcutta which is India's third largest city and the home to 15 million people, and where Mother Teresa set up her first clinic for the sick and dying, in 1952.

It’s also the 5th Anniversary of Katrina. As we know the Big Easy has not had things easy. Five years ago Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf coast area and caused massive flooding in New Orleans after levees there failed to protect the low-lying city. Now, after the worst Oil Spill in History, New Orleans still struggles to return to normal life.

And a bit of contrast, as we end with the changing World of the Geishas in Japan. The ancient art is no longer just for the Elite of the country. Japan is reeling from a 20-year economic slump, with China overtaking the country as the world's second-largest economy. What the Japanese call the "lost years" have taken a serious toll on some of their most beloved cultural icons.

And now time for Tea.
