Why is it that when Obama's numbers go up, with approval over disapproval (Gallup Aug 20-31: Approval 47%, Disapproval 45%) is the left wing blogoshere (along with the MSM) so quiet?
Positives build on positives...we need to push back on all the dark and gloomy predictions, when we have good news.
Maybe we're too busy (Cenk and others) pounding Obama and don't have time to focus on the positive.
I really like Cenk... super bright...clear minded guy, usually right on target on isssues. I just wish he and others would use their critics in a more positive way. In stead of focusing on how Obama is screwing up... make the points of how he can do better. Otherwise they become ammunition for the right to use showing even Obama's supporters are turning against him.
We have a great President who is facing overwhelming BS and lies in the MSM and in the right wing media (Fox, etc.) and wingnut blogoshere.
Can't the left wing blogoshere couch their critics (which are welcome and part of our collective process) in terms of pushing Obama forward... rather than pulling him down...thru rants of disappointment...which just increases the level of anti Obama and anti Democrat noise.
All I would hope is that when we argue against things Obama has done or not done... we keep in perspective of the nightmare of a Republican Congress. None of us want that.
We need Obama. We need our Democrats in Congress, even the ones that are weak kneed and fence sitters. Our weakest Dems are better than a bunch of right wing nuts running the Country.
UPDATE: Just saw a refernce to the positive poll numbers in Chris Bower's article on KOS main page. Good.
