This morning, I was doing what would be best described as wasting time. On the internet, I was reading various blogs and the like on things "Palin". As a person of the "lower 48", I continue to try and understand how the majority of voters in Alaska, could have elected this person at least twice, and then followed right along with releasing Palin, on the rest of us.
Well, anyway...I ran upon this comment by Shannyn Moore on the "Slate". Back during the campaign, I saw many interviews with Shannyn Moore on Countdown with Keith Obermann and the like...telling us in the "lower 48" about the fear of "all things Palin" will enact on us, if Palin was elected Vice President or worst, President.
Noting this, you would think that when a reporter FINALLY decides to write a piece that would support what Ms. Moore told us on "all things Palin", she would be either pleased with the article or silent if she disagreed with it. Not....really....
Here is an quote by Ms. Moore herself on the piece in Vanity Fair:
Mr. Michael Gross,
You just "Sarah Palined" people here.
I'm going through a list doing damage control and telling people I'm so sorry I gave you their contacts and vouched for your professionalism and credibility.
You have neither.
I don't give a rip what you said about me - though it was so completely wrong, and put me in such a completely inaccurate and unfavorable light people are mad on my behalf.
Fine thanks for Alaskan hospitality. I have extended the Alaska Spirit to dozens of journalists and visitors, and I will continue to do so. It's on YOU, not me, as you are the only one who has broken agreements with sources you promised complete anonymity.
I'm sure you're thrilled to be on TV now. Just know, like Sarah, Alaskans paid a price for it. Specifically, a 79-year old woman, with failing health, who spoke to you under anonymity who hopes her adult children will speak to her again.
Shame on you. You're not a writer...you're a climber.
With no respect,
Shannyn Moore

and she went on again............within the comments.......
Mr. Gross had many contacts that weren't through me.
My problem wasn't in what he wrote. It was breaking confidences. It makes it harder for journalists to convince Alaskans to talk if they can't feel like they can sit in church, hockey games, traffic without seeing someone who will disagree with them and let them know.
Mr. Gross was incorrect about what a foundation created would be about. There are much more interesting things in Alaska than Palin. Case in point? Norm Olson, the founder of the Michigan Militia who was investigated for their mentoring of Timothy McVeigh, now lives in Alaska and is on the Governors ballot in November under the Alaska Independent Party.
See, crazy grows on trees. You don't have to throw people under the bus to uncover it.
Maybe, I am confused. She is a journalist and Mr. Gross is a journalist also. I am sure that since she spoke to Mr. Gross in some aspect for the article, Ms. Moore had Mr. Gross phone number, Blackberry Instant Message contact, e-mail, editor contact information or something. Seems like she would have reached out to him personally if she had issues with the piece....right.....wrong.
In addition, I guess Ms. Moore (from my readings) have taken plenty of views different from the ones she told Keith on "all things Palin" since the election. On the subject of the birth of Trig and as we all know the "incredible airplane rides" from Texas to Alaska with broken membranes. Since this point, Ms. Moore called various bloggers like Palingates, "Conspiracy Theorists" when questioning up to three airplane rides and a more than an hour drive to a hospital far away from the Anchorage airport with a distressed-slightly pre-term fetus, would be possible and the smartest thing to do in such condition.
Palin must have a "death grip" hold on some Alaskans up there. If they continue to walk out of step, they will fall into the depths of Lake Lucille. Who knows? I am just surprised of Ms. Moore comments after all the support she received by Liberals, Progressives and Moderates, in the "lower 48" during the 2008 election on "all things Palin".
Now that they released a governor who quit, mid-term to make the "big bucks" on us....are Alaskans washing their hands of the situation, to wonder what destruction she can release upon us, in her "quest for the Presidency of the United States" or something? Heaven help us!
One thing we have going for us down here....We were smart not to elect "all things Palin" and McCain, in 2008 to our nations' highest office. It is doubtful (God willing) that we in the "lower 48" would elect Palin during the future to the Presidency of the United States, given all that we know about her now, post election.
