Okay, I'm starting to suspect there is some real voter registration fraud going on in Georgia. I am getting very frustrated, because I have a strong suspicion my vote is not being counted. I have reported this at USA.gov, and I've also written my former Congressman, David Scott, pleading with him to do something about it. I am copying my email to him below the fold, because I want as many people as possible who are in a position to do something about this to check into it.
YOU WERE MY REPRESENTATIVE UNTIL MARCH OF THIS YEAR. I AM WRITING TO ASK FOR YOUR HELP IN WHAT I BELIEVE IS VOTER REGISTRATION FRAUD!
Please, Representative Scott, please read this. I am so very frustrated because my partner and I cannot get our voter registration moved to our new address. I think there is some real hanky-panky going on! I also reported the following to one of the voter fraud investigation sites:
We moved from Cobb County (Marietta, GA) to Floyd County (Cave Spring, GA) in March 2010. I have sent in THREE voter registration change of address forms since then, and NONE of them have been recorded. The first two times, I printed out the form from the Internet. Finally, before the July 20 primary, I called the Floyd County voter registration office to inquire why my change of address had not yet been recorded, and I was told my partner ([my DH]) and I would both be mailed new forms but to go on and apply for an absentee ballot using our old Cobb County address. (It made me very nervous stating I still lived at that address, but I did not intend to be denied the right to vote at all because somebody had failed to process my change of address requests, and the woman I spoke to at the Voter Registration office told me to do it.)
A week after the primary concluded, after our absentee ballots had been mailed in, we both sent in the official registration form we were mailed to Floyd County Voter Registration. Wanting to be sure nobody was tampering with our forms, we took them personally to the Cave Spring post office to mail them and I watched the postal worker cancel them myself. It is now September 7, and when I check online to see where we are registered to vote, I still see us listed at [our Marietta address].
I STRONGLY SUSPECT SOMEBODY IS THROWING AWAY OUR VOTER REGISTRATION/CHANGE OF ADDRESS FORMS to prevent us (as Democrats) from voting to unseat the Republicans who now hold sway over Georgia. I want somebody to look into this! The November election is rapidly approaching, and we want to know that we can vote. I have to wonder, too, if our absentee ballots were not also discarded--and even if we are not being manipulated into being dropped from the rolls.
